Fannie Pranks: My name is so unfortunate for a journalist…

Wednesday, August 5th, 2009

Funny PranksEdinburgh, Scotland – August 04, 2009
(by Jerk Stuff reporter Duane McIntosh)

British weather forecast reporter  Fannie Pranks who works at local K2O FM radio station is about to press legal charges against local authorities in Edinburgh, Scotland for not allowing  her to change both her first and family name. “My name is so unfortunate for a journalist. Imagine the faces of our radio station fans when hearing announcement like: we are making small break with Fannie Pranks and her weather report! Is it Fannie or Funny Pranks speaking while the rest of the radio stuff are giggling in background?  Who’s going to take me for serious with the name like this? I am funny person and I really dig prank people, but it’s my name that will ruin my career.”

Fannie made several attempts to change her name fully or at least the last name but each time she was being rejected with the same explanation: Scotish laws allow changing first name only. “It’s not good enough for me” – Fannie said, “whatever I put in front of Pranks sound pranky to me.”

At my question why she intends to change her first name, Fannie said: “What if I switch to another field of journalism? Like crime or war reports telling news like how many people were killed or died today and after I finish, the host says: Thanks, funny!”

What I’ve forgot is to ask Miss Pranks is what is the name she would choose instead of Funny Pranks. “Dolly Cute” would definately fit her but on a second thought, is it pranky as well? In any case, for this wonderful article – Thanks, cute!

Barak Obama next gag Belgrade, Serbia – June 20, 2009

(by Jerk Stuff reporter Dragan Radovic)

After catching flies in front of TV cameras the other day, Barak Obama has already prepared the next gag for us. He is going to play “one on one” basketball game against ex NBA ace Vlade Divac (LA Lakers and Sacramento).

This charity game will happen during Barak Obama’s official visit to Serbia in the autumn this year. The whole event has been scheduled during the recent US vice president Joe Biden’s visit to this Southeastern European state as symbolic gesture of Obama’s determination to finally improve relations with Serbia.

This 10 minute  exhibition basketball game will get broad media coverage with live broadcast on CNN.

Curiously enough, famous NBA player and good friend of Vlade Divac Kareem Abdul Jabbar will appear in the role of referee.
